Choir Update - December
Good afternoon!
Some updates for the rest of the month:
Solo & Ensemble will be happening in February for both District 92 and IGSMA. If your student would like to register, here is the form you need to fill out (click). I have moved the deadline and song selection from today (December 1st) to December 15th. Here is more details about the IGSMA Solo and Ensemble (does NOT include information about District 92's Solo and Ensemble).
Our concert is December 19th, with a call time of 6pm. Please make sure your student is present for both the 18th and 19th, as we will be rehearsing with our accompanist for the concert!
Please complete the Choir Performance Attire assignment on Google Classroom. Follow the instructions. Email me if you are having trouble accessing and submitting for the assignment. Please note that if you do not follow the dress code, it will affect your grade.
Please make sure your student practices all of the repertoire, including over the weekend. They should run the music 1-2 times a day outside of school. They came back from this weekend struggling with some notes--that means they didn't practice!
The Winter Choir Social is December 21st after school until 4pm in the Choir Room. I will be sending out permission slips later this week.
The choirs will be traveling to Reed to perform a couple of their Christmas songs from the concert on December 22nd, the Friday before we leave for winter break. Please let me know as soon as possible if your family plans on missing school and leaving early for break that day.
