OP Choir January Update #1
Happy 2018! I hope everyone had a relaxing winter break.
We are starting off right away with the new repertoire in class. I will be posting practice tracks soon for the students to use at home.
Some important updates:
8TH GRADE CHOIR - The Choir Step-Up Day is this Thursday, January 11th at LTHS. We will leave the school at approximately 8:30am and we should arrive back at Oak Prairie before 1:30pm. The students will be fed lunch at the high school. If there are any students that cannot attend, please let me know as soon as possible before Thursday.
7TH, 8TH, & HI-C CHOIR - Here are the next events for the IGSMA District Contest, so please add these to your calendar:
March 15th Concert @ 7pm at Oak Prairie
March 16th Elementary School Tour during the day
March 17th IGSMA District Contest @ Time TBA at Richland Jr. High, Crest Hill, IL.
SOLO & ENSEMBLE PARTICIPANTS - Music has been posted in Google Classroom for those who are participating in both the D92 and IGSMA Solo & Ensemble contests. Here are the dates:
February 6th - D92 Solo & Ensemble, 4-8pm @ Oak Prairie
February 10th - IGSMA Solo & Ensemble, Time TBA @ Troy Middle School, Plainfield, IL.
Please note that there are NO fees to pay for solo & ensemble.
The next required concert for ALL choirs will be May 14th.
